The web safe colour palette is the best colour scheme for online developers. The web safe palette provides a range of colours and does so while guaranteeing that the colours will not change when downloaded.

The 216 colours are available in the web safe colour palette. These are all combinations of six evenly spaced intensities of red, the same six intensities of green and the same six intensities of blue.

The hexadecimal numbers, from minimum to maximum intensity, are 00, 33, 66, 99, CC and FF.

For example, entering ff3300 produces red.

Colours with intensities other than those in the table will not appear as intended. The browser will replace the colour with the nearest match in the web safe colour palette.
